Cyanotypes
There is nothing quite as satisfying as producing something by hand. I became interested in cyanotype as an antidote to the digital world that I have found myself more engaged with photographically over the past decade or so. It has been challenging and rewarding to begin to learn the secrets of the blue. Earlier works were based on found images of figures from the past, often making negatives from already created pieces from other series. As I have continued to learn more, and refine my practice and workflow, I have also begun to explore different formulas, as well as organic toning. This is definitely an ongoing and inprocess body of work.
